Ugadi

Ugadi is the beginning of Telugu Calendar year. It is the time when people rejoice with the transformation of the nature into a beautiful place with the advent of spring. The spring flowers , the sweet coo-coo of the koel, the fresh green leaves, the swaying fields, the Neem buds and flowers, the fragrance of raw mangoes ;all predict new life and new beginning.

The Ugadi day is known as Chaitra Sudddha Padhyami. Lord Brahma, the creator, started his work on  creation on this day. Ugadi is the beginning of the New Year, New Month, and the New Day; according to the calculations of the great Indian mathematician, Bhaskara charya, predicting from the sunrise of this day.
